At its September meeting, the AKC Board of Directors approved WSSCA's request to designate Welsh Springers as a Ramp Mandatory Breed. The designation becomes effective January 1, 2027.
The 2027 National Specialty will be in Doswell, Virginia on March 27, 2027. The Breed judge will be Ms. Pluis Davern of Royal Oaks, California. Mr. Keith Vooris of Henderson, North Carolina, will judge Sweepstakes. See the 2027 National Specialty page under News and Events for more details.
