WSSCA 2027 National Specialty
March 26-28, 2027 Doswell, Virginia
The 2027 National Specialty will be hosted by Greater Chesapeake Welsh Springer Spaniel Club on Saturday, March 27, 2027 as part of the Spring Fling Cluster at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia. There will be a morning and afternoon show on Friday March 26, 2027, with a supported entry for the afternoon show. There will also be a supported entry on Sunday, March 28, 2027.

Friday, March 26, 2027
- Morning show held by the Langley Kennel Club. Judge to be announced.
- Afternoon show will be a WSSCA Supported Entry in conjunction with the Langley Kennel Club. Judge to be announced. Entries for these two shows will be limited and in prior year’s both shows have filled before the closing date. Members interested in showing should plan to enter early. Opening date is not currently available.
Saturday, March 27, 2027
- Veteran, Puppy, and Performance Sweepstakes. Mr. Keith Vooris of Henderson, North Carolina to Judge.
- WSSCA National Specialty Show in conjunction with the Virginia Beach Kennel Club. Ms. Pluis Davern of Royal Oaks, California to Judge.
- WSSCA Annual Meeting & Banquet at the Hanover Tavern Pub. Time to be announced.
Sunday, March 28, 2027*
- WSSCA Supported Entry in conjunction with the Virginia Beach Kennel Club. Judge to be announced.
*Please note March 28 is Easter Sunday.
Premiums & Entry Information
The premium will be posted when it is published.
Entries will be through MB-F. Entries close March 10, 2027. Opening date TBD.
Grooming
There will be a dedicated reserved grooming area for Welsh Springers. Please check back for more details in late 2026.
Host Hotel
The Fairfield By Marriott Inn & Suites Richmond-Ashland will be the host hotel. The club has arranged for a block of rooms at $149 per night with a one-time pet fee of $50. There is a limit of 2 dogs per room. The name of the block is “Welsh Springer National”, and rooms at this rate are available for March 24-28, 2027.

The WSSC Annual Meeting & Banquet will be Saturday, March 27, 2027 at the Hanover Tavern Pub in the Taylor Room. Time to be announced.
