The AKC’s Government Relations team is calling attention to the CDC regulations on importing dogs which go into effect on August 1, 2024.  The AKC continues to be concerned with the disproportionate impacts the new rule will have on low-risk importations for dogs between 4 and 6 months of age. It is urging members to contact the CDC and their representatives in Congress to share their views on this important topic.
