Welsh Springer Designated Specialty with Veteran and Puppy Sweepstakes at the Missouri Rhineland Kennel Club Show. Breed judge is Marjo Jaakkola of Turku, Finland. Sweepstakes to be judged by Kit Goodrich of Wellington, Colorado.
Social Hour (after judging) on the Purina grounds.

Scentwork Trial
Agility
ACT Agility Trial (open to any dog that doesn’t have an agility title) and non- AKC runs for dogs with an Agility title

Purina Farms is located 10 minutes west of Six Flags St. Louis on Highway 44. Take the Gray Summit exit #253 and head North on Highway 100 for 1/2 miles. Take a left and head West on MM for approx. one mile until you reach the Purina Farms entrance on the left-hand side of the road.
All events will be a Purina Farms unless otherwise noted.
There is no host hotel. Information on local pet friendly lodging and guidelines for RV camping can be found on the Purina Farms Website. RV reservations are handled by Purina. Please see the Premium and Reservation form for more information.

There will be an Iron Welsh competition in 2024. The premiums and/or entry forms for Rally, Obedience, Agility and Scentwork will be posted when available in the Premiums section.

Look for some Welshie-only fun at the National Specialty! On Thursday, May 30, there will be Obedience & Rally. In addition to the regular classes, we’ll be offering some non-regular classes that are guaranteed to be a great time!
Obedience
The Novice Brace Class has 2 Welshies performing the Novice exercises in tandem with one handler. The dogs need not be owned by the same person and may be shown unattached or coupled. Note: It’s a good idea to have both dogs doing the “Finish” in the same direction!
Rally
The Novice Brace class is similar to the obedience description above. The TEAM Rally class is something to behold! There are 4 dogs and handlers who perform the Novice Rally exercises one at a time. Teams generally dress according to a theme and often have music to accompany them. Think about having a regional team or from a particular kennel for some good old friendly competition. But remember, this is absolutely for fun!
The non-regular classes are offered at a reduced rate ($20 for the entire team and for the brace duo). So please gather your friends and Welshies and join in! The Premium List will be on the website when available or email Merrielle Turnbull at mtwss53@gmail.com.
Agility
On Sunday, June 1, there will be an ACT Agility Trial open to dogs over the age of 15 months who do not already have an agility title. There will also be an Agility event open to dogs with an Agility title. Please see the “Premiums” section for entry forms. Both Agility events will accept “day of” entries until the trial begins.

Scentwork
There will be two Scentwork Trials on Saturday, June 1 at Purina Farms. Time and specific location to be announced. The Trials will have Interior & Container elements, and offer Novice A & B, Advanced and Excellent classes.
The annual membership meeting and banquet will be held in the Founders Room at the Purina Farms Event Center. The Founders Room is on the second floor of the event center.
Banquet reservations can be made through the on-line Store or using the Mail-In Order Form.
The Cluster offers reserved grooming and there is also free grooming space. Here is a summary of the grooming information provided by the Missouri-Rhineland Kennel Club:
